If you love ice skating then you are in the right place. Braunlage has the only ice rink in the Harz. Whether ice skating, ice curling or even iron curling, the ice rink offers a good alternative to skiing and sledging.

Ice skating in Braunlage is not only possible in winter. Throughout the year, except for the short summer break, the ice rink Braunlage is open. In addition you can also watch ice hockey matches here.
The Upper Harz ponds are also partially used for ice skating. This is just an amazing experience – ice skating amid the Harz winter landscape. However if the ponds are not open to the public, one should not go on it.

Outdoor ice skating rink Bad Harzburg
The outdoor ice rink in Bad Harzburg is open from late November to mid February. The open-air ice rink is situated between the large free car park at the B4 and the Sole Therme. Whether sporty or relaxed, the outdoor ice skating rink offers skating fun for everyone.

Natural ice rink Schierke
Situated in a pleasant valley is the natural ice rink Schierke, which is very near to Braunlage. The ice skating season is normally opened just after Christmas, depending on the weather condition. The ice rink is open daily from 11am until 7pm and on Friday /Saturday until 9pm.
The ice rink offers ice skating fun, Après ski parties, ice disco and winter Olympics.
